Abstract
This work explores the feasibility of applying PSpice to analyze the unbalanced operation of a multi-grounded distribution system. Although PSpice was developed to simulate electric circuits, its simulation capabilities can also be applied to power systems. Here, a multi-grounded distribution system is represented as an equivalent electric circuit in PSpice, by combining the coupling-free equivalent circuits of system components. The AC analysis mode of PSpice was used to simulate the equivalent electric circuit of a multi-grounded distribution system. A typical multi-grounded distribution system was employed as a sample system to illustrate this application. Results of this study can provide a valuable reference for power engineers who plan or operate a multi-grounded distribution system.
