Abstract :
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is an effective technique for combating radio channel multipath fading and for high-bit-rate transmission over wireless channels and it is extensively used in modern wireless local area network systems to support high performance bandwidth-efficient multimedia services. Easily applied channel estimation and simple channel equalization are important for the broadband multi-carrier OFDM systems and are crucial to the performance of the overall OFDM system in terms of the symbol error rate. In this paper, robust channel estimation and channel equalization scheme is proposed for the OFDM based wireless local area network systems. The performance analysis of the proposed channel estimation and channel equalization scheme are also provided.
