Abstract :
A novel approach for power system voltage control implemented on the basis of the learning humoral immune response was proposed previously by the authors (2002). This proposed humoral immune voltage control can not only fulfil the conventional task of a voltage controller in a power system to keep the voltage at the controller´s busbar to a setting reference value at the normal operation mode, but also minimise or eliminates voltage violations at its adjacent busbars in power system contingencies. This paper presents test results on the New England power system.
