            Abstract :
The core competence of firms is built on the bases of imperfectly imitable and non-substitutable heterogeneous resources. The firms get heterogeneous resources relying on the depth mining of knowledge and the flexibility use of knowledge capital. Knowledge capital has three parts: human capital, structural capital and relationship capital, human capital as the creator of knowledge, organizational structure as a platform of knowledge deepening and expansion, knowledge capital union as an important way of knowledge expansion from external. As the embodiment of digital age, E-commerce firms rely on more on their knowledge capital than on material capital to strengthen core competence. This paper expounds the relations of core competence E-commerce firms and knowledge capital and discusses how to strengthen core competence with knowledge capital.
