Abstract
Executive Stock Option is a long-term incentives for employees and generally respected by the business community and widely used. In the main accounting treatment there is a cost concept and the concept of profit distribution. This paper demonstrated the cost concept of executive stock options is more suitable than profit distribution concept, from the economic substance of stock options, the definition of cost element, the neutrality of accounting standards, etc.
