Abstract
In this paper, a new predicted detection scheme is presented to solve the time delay problem in PQLC design. The idea is that the fundamental current of a load is extracted in half a cycle from a load current signal with wavelet transform. It becomes the forecasting value in the neighboring half cycle. This forecast processes step-by-step. The simulation is successful with MATLAB tools. As a result, the predicted detection scheme eliminates the time delay, and the real-time detection is improved.
