Abstract :
In this paper, we provide Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) analyses of multi-spectral light channels reflecting practical conditions for the usage of Optical Wireless LED Communication (OWLC) in Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Considering practical LED lights (Headlamp and Street lamp) and their light distribution regulations, we design four Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) cases via CATIA V5 tool. Through simulations, we investigate the possibilities of OWLC according to the spectrum range (ultraviolet, visible light and infrared spectrums) at day and night time.
