Abstract :
A free space impulse radar experimental system (IRES) has been built to investigate the capability and potential advantages that attributed to impulse radar. Some of the key technologies, such as UWB antennas, UWB receiver and UWB signal processor, are described in detail. According to the features of the impulsive signal, new signal processing technology, such as MCGM algorithm, wavelet transform and bispectrum analysis were developed to deal with transient signal of impulse radar. Some valuable results were obtained
