  • Abstract
The potential influence of CH4 on the global environment has been paid high attention on. Spartina alterniflora, as an adventitious species, has come into being more than 100km2 costal salt mash in Jiangsu province, and which can also affect the atmosphere balance of CH4. In this study, CH4 fluxes were measured seasonally using static flux chambers (from October 2005 to July 2006), along a gradient section keeping away from the sea wall in Jiangsu province. In addition, the weather conditions and the soil character were measured in the same time. And then, it was analyzed that the variation characters of the CH4 fluxes with the change of time and space and its influence factor of weather and soil character. At last, the paper draw the conclusions that there are two peak value of the CH4 fluxes daily; and the highest flux appear on summer day, the lowest flux on spring day; and there are high correlation value between the fluxes of the CH4 and the soil humidity in all the weather conditions and all the soil factors character. All the conclusions show that the factors influenced the fluxes of CH4 are very complicated.
