Abstract :
The influence of fluctuations in the probe laser´s output on the performance of an optically pumped Cs beam frequency standard is clarified The analysis considers the probe laser´s flicker frequency noise. Requirements for probe laser linewidth and modulation frequency are derived from the calculated results.
