Abstract :
Employing the tradeoff between delay and energy consumption for energy saving is critical for green wireless communication systems. This paper studies the delay constrained scheduling over fading channels with non-ideal circuit power. The optimal offline scheduling algorithm, under the knowledge of all channel state information, is proposed based on convex optimizations at first. Through our analysis we show that the optimal scheme should jointly optimize the active transmission time length and transmit power level of each slot. Then, inspired by the proposed optimal offline form, a heuristic online scheduling algorithm is raised. Simulation results are presented to verify the energy-efficiency of the heuristic online scheme.
