Abstract :
Rare-earth-ions-containing materials were usually used in multicolored display. To develop flat panel display, new rare-earth-ions-containing films were formed from trivalent Europium(Eu)/Terbium(Tb)-containing micelle solutions. When Eu(III)-containing micelle solution were spin-coated onto silicon, the formed films could emit trichromatic red color. To Tb(III)-containing micelle solutions, the formed films could emit trichromatic green color. Multi-colored films were formed from the mixture of Eu(III)-containing and Tb(III)-containing solutions. Intensity of multicolored films changed with the molar ratios of Eu(III) and Tb(III). These multicolored films could be used in the circuits, and emit multicolor in different sensors and displays.
