Abstract :
The idea and research results of a novel proposal of a voltage source converter control are presented. The basic idea of control and novel resulting in topology are discussed. A particular example of a converter is presented below. The converter consists of a mains inverter supplying the load and a filtering auxiliary inverter. The output voltage space vector of the complex converter is composed of two orthogonal voltage space vectors. As a result the converter is able to generate 18 active output voltage vectors which are almost equal in length. Other properties of the topology based on orthogonal vectors´ control are discussed in the paper
