Abstract :
This paper presents a simplified nonlinear magnetic analysis of SRM in order to rapidly compute the non-linear magnetizing curves for the given motor dimensions. The proposed analysis consists of the equivalent magnetic circuit and the analytical model of the air gap permeances including the saturable tips both in the stator and rotor poles. The effectiveness of the proposed analysis is verified by comparing with 2D-FEA in terms of the analytical accuracy and the computation time of the magnetizing curves for two kinds of SRM
