            Abstract : 
This paper addresses control and synchronization of high order chaotic systems. As an example, we are interested in third order chaotic systems. The mathematical model of the system is first derived; then, a time delayed feedback based control algorithm is used to stabilize the system on a desired unstable periodic orbit. Simultaneously, the controlled system is synchronized with another chaotic system, using a global synchronization method. For the choice of the feedback gain control, a pole placement technique is used
