Abstract :
The objective of this paper is to present a comparative study of wind and conventional energy sources. Opinion surveys in the community, environmental, social and economical aspects have been chosen as the basis of this study. Currently, wind power technology is mature and ready to compete economically with traditional power sources. Wind energy costs are decreasing from one year to another, approaching even fossil fuel. This pure economic aspect of wind power is completed by the great environmental advantage, which is described in this work
