Abstract
There are complicated geological structure, fragile geological environment and increasing geological environmental problems in Lijiang city, which have restricted the sustainable development of social economy. This paper systematically interpreted the RS-geological information on the basis of RS data, and superposed the geography information, such as earthquakes, active faults, physiognomy, geological disasters, geophysical anomaly, etc, by means of GIS. The main controlling element and basic feature of geological environment in Lijiang city were synthetically analysed, which can provide basic data for advancing research on geological environment. The analysis results show that the main factors of the geological environment are active structures and earthquake; and the characteristics of the geological environment can be summarized as following: developing active structures, intensive new neotectonic movement, complex and changeable geophysical field, weak regional stability, harm seriously geological environment problems, prominent ecotope problems, and abundant resources but significant regional differences, and so on.
