Abstract
This paper makes an assessment from environment, resources, social, economic, science and education of 31 provinces in China with set pair analysis. Through the assessment results, the provinces and cities of Bohai Sea, Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta showed a strong level of sustainable development on economy, science and education, comprehensive assessment; and the region which has rich natural and tourism resources like Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet showed a high level of sustainable development on the environment; results of resources showed a serious shortage of resources per capita in the country with universal characteristics. In the end, the paper gives different suggestions based on the assessment results on different issues in different areas.
