Abstract :
A novel wide band Dielectric Resonator Antenna with reduced size, suitable for WLAN applications, is reported. The high permittivity dielectric resonator is excited by two microstrip line in E-plane and a vertical metal plate is placed inside the DR to improve the bandwidth. This configuration exhibits a bandwidth of 26.9% and nearly omni-directional radiation pattern.
