Abstract :
A tabletop interface based on a large, slim and wide LED display is proposed. The tabletop interface uses two cameras with two reflection mirrors. Its thickness is less than 8 inches and its size is 47 inches. In order to recognize multi-touch inputs and dragging operations, the proposed system adopts a hybrid recognition approach, which combines FTIR (Frustrated Total Internal Reflection) and LLP (Laser Light Plane). The proposed tabletop interface has many applications in restaurants, digital fashion and games. The performance of the proposed system was evaluated. It showed real-time recognition of multi-touch inputs.
