Message from the General Chair

The 5th International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems (ICINIS 2012) was held in Tianjin, China to discuss the state-of-the-art technologies of intelligent networks and systems. ICINIS 2012 aims to provide a high-level international forum for scientists, engineers, and educators who would like to present the state of the art of intelligent networks and systems and applications in various fields. In this proceedings you will find papers regarding computational intelligence and its applications, intelligent information processing and knowledge engineering, intelligent networks and instruments, multimedia signal processing and analysis, intelligent computer-aided design system, and so on. This conference is mainly sponsored by Intelligent Networks and Systems Society (INASS, See http://www.inass.org) that is a professional association for the advancement of intelligent technology. It is dedicated to promoting the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about intelligent science and information technologies for the benefit of humanity and the profession. Its tenet is to build a democratic, open, free and cooperative environment so as to attract elitists at home and abroad and to intensify academic exchange and catalyze new interdisciplines. The society aims to explore new concept, new theory, and new methodology of intelligence engineering and systems.
