Abstract :
With the development of the society, the problem of population, resources and environment has become more and more serious. The land use change is being given more attention accordingly. So it is important to extract the spatial-temporal change information of land use, to analyze the land use pattern, and to find the driving factors of land use change by mathematic model. Based on remote sensing and geographical information system technology, and by using Landsat TM images in 1990 and 2004 of a research region, the dynamic model of land use and the spatial-temporal evolvement model of land use degree are investigated in this paper. By analyzing land use image, combining statistic materials, connecting the spatial data and attribute data, the dynamic change database of land use has been build. The transition matrix is used to analyze the spatial-temporal change of land use types. The result shows that the total area of gardening land, building land, traffic land, and public facilities have increased, at the same times, the tillable land, unused land and forestry land has decreased, and the main cause of the decrease of tillable land is the increase of the building land and traffic land.
