Abstract :
A new modified helix antenna is introduced which combines the helix and monopole together and forms improved current distribution. The character makes it more convenient for gain improvement and size reduction. The antenna is designed and simulated with Ansoft HFSS which is based on Finite Element Method (FEM). According to the rule, some models are fabricated for use on two-way radio. The measured results are presented and prove the theory efficient.
