  • Abstract
Smart phones, with the fast improvement both in hardware and software, are now able to interact and work with computer through numerous communications technologies thus expose themselves to the risk of being infected by virus. Athough many researchers devote to study the spread of malware, little effort has been done to take into account the different types of devices that may concurrently occur in an wireless ad hoc network. Therefore we have developed a stochastic framework, which incorporates diversity of network nodes as well as their interactions to see how those features affect a disease´s dissemination. Our models, based on a 4-compartment epidemic method, also have taken into consideration various states that a device may undergo when it gets infected by the malware. A huge result space is producible by our framework thus makes it appropriate to describe many viral proliferating scenarios. We have also conducted numerical simulations to understand changes and the equilibrium of a network under malware dissemination.
