Abstract :
In order to analyze the AVHRR (Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer) SST (sea surface temperature) images with full spatial resolution for wide oceans for 10 years, a processing system is developed using a super computer, high-density cassette media, and a high-speed data transfer system in the computer center of the Tohoku University. The system enables the authors to retrieve 0.01-degree gridded MCSSTs of 4000×4000 pixels in 15-minutes
