Abstract :
The construction of large metro station will generate a certain degree of ground settlement resulting in unfavorable effect on safety and stability of roads, underground pipelines and ground buildings in urban districts, and needed to monitor necessarily. Based on the geotechnical condition of the urban southern station of Changping metro line in Beijing, ground settlement of the foundation pit induced by open-cut tunnel construction was monitored, and the monitoring data of 72 effective measuring points in surrounding of foundation pit was analyzed by statistic method. It is shown that the range of ground settlement value of urban southern station is from 0mm to 10mm, the sample mean of monitoring data is 4.13mm. The ground settlement value of all measuring points is less than 30mm, and is meeting the deformation standard in Beijing subway using open-cut tunneling method. The results provide scientific basis for the effective controlling of ground settlement of metro station induced by open-cut tunnel construction and are important to reduce the risk of tunnel construction.
