Abstract :
Digital television allows the development of new kinds of interactive services. The author describes a service architecture for the organization of the services. The services are divided into three categories: navigator, text TV, and interactive programs. Both user interface and technical implementation issues are discussed. Bandwidth and memory consumption estimations show that the service architecture can be implemented in the terrestrial digital television
