Abstract
This paper presents briefly design, assembly and testing of the multi-mode microwave remote sensing antenna subsystem of China. It concentrates active and passive microwave remote sensors. A prime focus paraboloid reflector, with the diameter of 600 mm, is applied as the altimeter antenna. The scatterometer antennas consist of two prime-focus reflectors, which take conical scanning and form two pencil beams orthogonal in space and polarization. The radiometer antenna is an offset paraboloid reflector with multi-frequency, dual polarization and common aperture feed. Computer aided integrated design for multi discipline, advanced assembly and holographic measuring techniques, which are used to achieve high accuracy, are also introduced.
