Abstract :
This paper presents a new phase shifter using substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technique. Phase shifting is achieved by changing the diameter and the position of inductive posts inserted in the SIW substrate. Different simulations were carried out using one post, and two posts. Simulation results have shown a good agreement with the theory. For the two posts case, prototypes have been fabricated to prove the concept. Preliminary experimental results show clearly that the use of inductive posts alter the phase of the wave travelling in the SIW waveguide
