  • Abstract
    In this paper, we propose an EBG antenna which presents a good candidate for microwave links systems and more specifically for point to point and the point to multipoint applications required directives antennas with a high gain. The design of the antenna consists of a waveguide-fed slot antenna on which we add a one dimension EBG resonator structure, to obtain the required goals. The frequency band chooses for this antenna is the band 38-40 GHz. The results of simulations and the experimental measurements are presented and compared. We obtained an antenna with 20 dBi of gain and a half-power angle of 9deg in the two principals planes H and E with a good adaptation (S11< -16 dB) for the central frequency 38.9GHz
