Abstract :
Recently, the study of nitrous oxide (N2O) and methane (CH4) emission in the process of treating domestic wastewater drived more and more people´s attention. N2O is by-product of nitrification. Some studies showed that N2O emission influenced by temperature, pH value, DO, salinity and plant species. CH4 was produced in strictly anaerobic conditions through the reduction of CO2 by methane bacteria. CH4 will be consumed in sufficient oxygen circumstances. So CH4 emissions are depended on the difference between production and consumption of CH4. And CH4 influenced by temperature, level of water and plant species in waste water treatment process. It is said that N2O emissions are something with incomplete nitrification and denitrification, For N2O control, microbial nitrification and denitrification should be enhanced. For CH4 control, improving the DO of the system can restrain its transgression effectively.
