Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new contour detection method. The proposed approach deploys computation of a group of Gabor to get its corresponding direction image, followed by a semi-ellipticity-ring surround suppression. Finally, a contour-oriented binarization algorithm is used. A lot of experimentsal results in real images show that the proposed approach works reasonably.
