Abstract :
A theoretical borehole model is established to explore the potential application of seismoelectric conversion in well logging. The responses of the borehole fluid, well logging tool and the formation are all considered. The acoustic wave equation, seismoelectric coupling wave governing equation and the electromagnetic wave equation have been solved with the potential function methods in the axial-symmetrical column coordinates system. The converted electric field in the borehole is discussed based on the numerical simulation of a monopole point source with the real axis integral method. A numerical simulation example is presented, and the results show that two kinds of converted electric filed can be recorded without tool consideration, only one the converted electric filed with light speed can be recorded in fluid-filled borehole with tool consideration.
