Abstract :
In order to study effectively vehicle-bridge interaction, one experimental method is presented in detail based on the scale-model system established through similarity theory in this paper. Firstly, the model materials are selected appropriately according to the characteristics of bridge and vehicle. Besides, the model parameters such as size, modulus and so on are determined according to the similarity theory. Finally, a new traction system was designed for dynamic model tests. Through model tests, the experimental results show that the proposed method is feasible and available to research the vehicle-bridge interaction.
