Abstract
Signals and Systems Theory (SST) plays a fundamental role in the educational and professional background of electrical engineering and other scientific areas of knowledge. Many authors present this theory following a scheme which is valid for general purposes, but they avoid to deal with more general concepts and a wide range of problems. The aim of this work is to develop a Generalized Signals and Systems Theory (GSST) which may be able to describe many different problems in a more rigorous way. A summary of the latest version of the GSST, including the concepts of Generalized Transform (GT), Generalized Transform Changes (GTC) and Generalized Spectral Analysis (GSA) between different signal spaces, is presented in this paper.
