Abstract
Analytic solutions are developed for a single-scattering properties of an inhomogeneous cylinder embedded in an absorbing medium with normal incidence, and the rapid recursive algorithm is given. Some examples are simulated to validated the code, and the scattering phase-matrix is discussed at last. The study is important for both active and passive remote sensing.
