Abstract :
Chemical sequential extraction was employed to analyze the phosphorus species in surface sediments in the representive five sites of Lake Baiyangdian. The results showed that exchangeable phosphorus(Ex-P) was the lowest fraction and had little effect to eutrophication of Lake Baiyangdian. The ironbound phosphorus(Fe-P) was the main fraction. The release of Fe-P in sediment was an important process leading lake eutrophication. The calcium-bound phosphorus(Fe-P) was the primary fraction with occupation of about 62.62%~73.85% of total phosphorus. The release of organophosphor(OP) in sediment might be an important process leading the eutrophication of Lake Baiyangdian.
