  • Abstract
A mathematical model for transient simulation of multi-branch generator has been set up based on the equivalent principles of magnetic linkage and multi-loop method. To avoid using a large quantity of physical structure parameters of the generator to calculate the air gap´s magnetic permeance, a parameter identification method based on a genetic algorithm is used. By identifying the parameters of an analog generator in the laboratory, the transient simulation results of interturn, homephase, and interphase faults are presented.
