Abstract :
Having been one of an important application on remote sensing monitoring of rice, information extraction and estimation of large rice planting area timely is likely to be more difficult, only depending on the former on-the-spot investigation. According to the rice spectral reflectance characteristics in transplanting, the study analyzes the relationship of normalized difference vegetation index and land surface water index, enhanced vegetation index and land surface water index, to extracting and estimating the rice area information of Hubei Province automatically. To explore convenient, time-saving, low-expense and high-efficiency ways of rice area information extraction and estimation, and give references to agriculture department on guiding agricultural production and further rice estimation.
