Abstract :
After the principle of DC and AC plasma displays are explained, the brief history of research and development of color plasma displays are described. The reasons why the surface-discharge AC color plasma displays has survived is also described concerning the specific performance. The next generation of color plasma displays are discussed for the coming era of color plasma display TV.
