Abstract :
This paper presents and validates a new design method for evaluating the noise and gain behavior of the RF receiver. The proposed technique is based on the noise power spectrality. The noise models for LNA, IF amplifier and mixer are provided to illuminate the detailed design procedure. The validity and efficiency of the proposed design approach has been demonstrated by an ultrashort broadcasting station receiver example and fair agreement has been obtained between the theoretical and simulated results.
