Abstract :
In this paper, the efficiency improvements of SRM drive are reported by the waveform optimization of applied voltage and employing high silicon steel called Super E-Core. It is shown that efficiency is improved up to 94.0% at a speed of 8000 r/min and with an output of 2.7 kW. In addition, a comparison of a test machine with conventional low iron loss silicon steel of 35A300 is shown
