Abstract
The basic principles of Eco-efficiency theory in Industrial Ecology are introduced, including reducing the consumption of resources and energy, reducing the impact on natural environment, enhancing the value of products or service. Based on this basis, the approaches of achieving the resource-economical and Environment-friendly Highway Engineering are discussed, including the road construction technologies and the road materials. The present resources and environment in China require that the highway network construction must be built on the basis of resource-economicalness and environment-friendliness.
