  • Abstract
    The ecological footprints and ecological carrying capacity of Mengyin County between the years of 1999 and 2008 are calculated and analyzed based on the data of statistical yearbook of Mengyin and Land and Resources Bureau of Mengyin County. The results show that the average ecological footprint, capacity and deficit in this period are 2.0531 hm2/cap, 0.8949 hm2/cap and 1.1572 hm2/cap respectively, so it can be concluded that the city is in a state of unsustainable development.
