Abstract :
A carrier with small rollers or balls is often used to transfer heavy and large loads. The rollers and balls work as absorbers of friction losses between loads and the base. If they had their own rotating forces, the friction losses would be reduced much further. The authors propose a novel movable roller developing a self-rotating force. This paper deals with the principle, the configuration and the experimental results of the movable roller
