Abstract :
Organic poly-silicic-ferric (OPSF) coagulant was prepared using dimethyldiallylammonium chloride (DMDAAC) as additive in poly-silicic-ferric (PSF) coagulant. Color removal in treating synthetic dyeing wastewaters by OPSF using jar test was investigated, in comparison with that of PSF coagulant. The results show that OPSF has better performance in color removal than PSF with the decreasing of dose, but the difference decreased with the increasing of dose. OPSF has greater ability of adapting to the complex change of wastewaters than PSF, which has great significance in treating real dyeing wastewaters.
