Abstract :
This paper presents an algorithm to reconstruct the three dimension solid model and recognize the features for mechanical part based on slice images. Its procedure includes: Step 1: The geometric types and parameters of surfaces are firstly identified according to the contour edges of slices; Step 2: The three dimension solid model of part is then reconstructed by constructing volume-cell, splitting end-face of volume-cell and bonding volume-cells; Step 3: Feature is recognized in the progress of solid model reconstruction through identifying and combining the positive feature, class-A and class-B negative. Finally, an example shows the effectiveness of the method.
