Abstract :
Soil moisture is one of the most important factors for hydrology research and agriculture management. But it is measured only at limited locations and temporal periods due to the limitations of technology and economy. Distributed hydrological model can simulate the variation and spatial distribution of soil moisture conveniently. This paper compared the simulation results of two different distributed hydrological models and the results show that simulated soil moisture is perfect and the spatial distribution have a tight relationship with the land cover and soil type in AFFDEF model, but in WATLAC model it is different. In WATLAC model results, soil water content changed with groundwater head, but the soil moisture are changed periodic in every year, and maybe it is the results of temperature effect in AFFDEF model results.
