Abstract :
Mineral processing wastewater of sulfide ore containing dressing pharmacy such as residual xanthate, resulting in many mine ecological deterioration, serious water and soil pollution, human health, agricultural production and fisheries caused great harm, could easily lead to environmental pollution. Therefore, effective method to remove the residual xanthate of mineral processing wastewater no doubt necessary. Degradation of remaining xanthate of in sulfide mineral processing wastewater by Fenton reagent was studied in this paper. The results showed that both the artificial xanthate wastewater, or actual mineral processing wastewater, under the best conditions of the pH, Fe2+ concentration, reaction time and H2O2 concentration, degradation of residual xanthate of in mineral processing wastewater by Fenton reagent. The removal rate of xanthate attains up to 95.45% and 96.88% respectively, which meet the standard for discharge of xanthate wastewater. At last, this thesis discussed the reaction mechanism of the xanthate was degraded by Fenton reagent.
