  • Abstract
In the lane change process, the different types of drivers have different behavior characteristics, the same driver in different road environments has not the same behavior, in order to design lane change model based on driver characteristics, it is necessary to study drivers´ lane change characteristics. With real vehicle data, analyzed the lane change characteristics of the same driver on Beijing highway, 5th rings, 4th rings, 3rd rings and different driver´s lane change characteristics on the same road environment. The results show that in the lane change process, the driver expected goal is to control the total lane change time near the expected value, and obtain the corresponding lateral velocity and acceleration through controlling the steering wheel.
